Pergut® chlorinated rubber – durable protection with anti-fouling coatings

Pergut® is the trademark of a group of powdered chlorinated polymers. This coating system is employed as a heavy duty rubber-metal bonding agent for a wide range of applications.

Suitable applications are corrosion protection, concrete and swimming pool coatings as well as adhesive applications.

The unique BayerMaterialScience process guarantees that the product has an extremely low content of tetrachloromethane (C Cl4). Pergut® contains less than 0.005% pbw (= < 50 ppm) of tetrachloromethane and complies with all regulatory requirements worldwide.

Pergut® chlorinated rubber is supplied as a white powder. It contains between 64.5% and 67% of chlorine and has a density of 1.6 g/cm3. The molecular weight – and consequently their viscosity - of the individual grades varies
