2000/53/EC: End-of-Life Vehicles Directive
Our coating, adhesive or sealant raw materials comply with the requirements of the End-of-Life Vehicles Directive 2000/53/EC and its amendments (2002/525/EC and others).
Compounds of mercury, cadmium, lead and hexavalent chromium have not been intentionally added for the production of our raw materials. Please have a look at this Confirmation for the European Directive 2000/53/EC_End-of-Life Vehicles.

2002/95/EC: "RoHS" Directive (and SJ/T11363-2006, called China-RoHS)
Our coating, adhesive or sealant raw materials comply with the requirements of European Directive 2002/95/EC on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (called RoHS-Directive) and Decision 2005/618/EC. The same applies to the Chinese Standard SJ/T11363-2006 (called China-RoHS).
Compounds of mercury, cadmium, lead and hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), including decabromodiphenyl ether (decaBDE), have not been intentionally added for the production of our raw materials. Please have a look at this Confirmation for the European Directive 2002/95/EC_RoHS and for SJ/T11363-2006, called China-RoHS.

2003/11/EC: Restriction of pentaBDE and octaBDE
Our coating, adhesive or sealant raw materials comply with the requirements of the directive 2003/11/EC, amending for the 24th time Council directive 76/769/EEC relating to restrictions on the marketing and use of certain dangerous substances and preparations (pentabromodiphenyl ether, octabromodiphenylether).
Pentabromodiphenyl ether (pentaBDE) as well as octabromodiphenyl ether (octaBDE) have not been intentionally added for the production of our raw materials. Please have a look at this Confirmation for the European Directive 2003/11/EC.

2002/96/EC: "WEEE" Directive - waste electrical and electronic equipment
EU Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment (“WEEE-Directive”) is regulating the recovery and disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
It is not intended that any solvents, which due to their composition may be regarded as being a member of the substance group hydrocarbons (HC), and which may be either part of the delivery form of a particular coating, adhesive or sealant raw material of Bayer MaterialScience or may probably be contained in individual raw materials as a minor, technically unavoidable residue of a potentially used processing solvent, will remain in the finished cured coating/adhesive/sealant. Other substances, which require a selective treatment according to Annex II of this directive have not been intentionally added for the production of our raw materials. Please have a look at this Confirmation for the European Directive 2002/95/EC (WEEE)

2006/122/EC: Restriction of perfluorooctane sulfonates (PFOS)
Our coating, adhesive or sealant raw materials comply with the requirements of the directive 2006/122/EC amending for the 30th time Council Directive 76/769/EEC (marketing and use directive) – perfluorooctane sulfonates.
Perfluoroctanesulfonates (PFOS) as well as the, in the frame of directive 2006/122/EC, not finally regulated compounds of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) have not been intentionally added for the production of our raw materials. Please have a look at this Confirmation for the European Directive 2006/122/EC.
