Primer surfacer for OEM finishes

Primer surfacer are very important for the long-lasting good appearance of automotive finishes. Polyurethane-based primer surfacers offer the best possible balance between elasticity (stone chip protection) and hardness (sandabilty), which are actually opposing properties. This property profile has contributed to making them a standard technology in Europe. Solventborne one-component polyurethane primer surfacers and similar waterborne systems are well established in the market.

The Bayer MaterialScience product range for fillers
  • Waterborne polyurethane dispersions
  • Hydrophilized blocked polyisocyanates
  • Blocked polyisocyanates
  • Polyester-polyols
  • Self-crosslinking stoving coatings for one-component systems
  • Polyesters for melamine crosslinking systems
  • Self-crosslinking dispersions
