Meeting challenging properties – paper and film coatings based on Desmolux® and Bayhydrol® UV

The brand name Desmolux® stands for UV crosslinking acrylates resins. These products allow the application of very thin layers at very high processing speeds fulfilling high standards regarding gloss and durability of the coating.

Very fast crosslinking reactions are possible under UV or EB radiation due to radical polymerization. The double binding density of acryl ester based binders can be varied to a great extent. This allows a very flexible property profile between hardness, durability, scratch resistance and elasticity.
