UV-curing unsaturated polyesters and urethane acrylates (Desmolux®)

For non-waterbased parquet coating systems Bayer MaterialScience offers a series of unsaturated polyesters and urethane acrylates.

Reactive diluents are solvent-like substances that reduce the viscosity of the formulation and are polymerised by high-intensity UV-light. The coating formulations can be applied and cured without any solvent evaporation and with the highest line speeds exceeding 20 meters per minute in some cases. Unsaturated polyesters diluted with an acrylic monomer provide additional benefits to traditional unsaturated Polyesters, while maintaining their advantages such as thick layer application, mattability, outstanding sandability and very good adhesion.

RR 6696	A pigmented sealer, applied by a curtain coater, shows excellent adhesion and a very good sandability (Desmolux® P 175 D)

RR 6697	Sealer with high reactivity, good sandability and transparency (Desmolux® VP LS 2381)

RR 6695	Matte top coat for roller application with excellent balance of properties (UV-reactivity / price) (Desmolux® VP LS 2381)
