A Selection of moisture curing 1K polyurethane raw materials for corrosion protection

Prepolymers represent an intermediate level between traditional polyurethane coating raw materials like MDI and the finished coatings produced with these raw materials. Our prepolymers contain free isocyanate groups that react with ambient moisture.

Prepolymers in the
Desmodur® E range
  • are the reaction products of aromatic or aliphatic isocyanates/diisocyanates and polyols
  • react to long chain, highly-resistant polymers resulting in solid products with specific adjustable final properties, such as strength or chemical resistance
  • can be formulated to be either highly elastic or tough, depending on their chemical structure
For 1K und 2K polyurethane coatings
